Battery life is becoming more important to most of us these days and keeping them charged is becoming more of a challenge. One company called Silverback aims to make it a little easier for urban cyclists. They have recently launched two bikes with built-in USB ports that can charge devices as the rider pedals.

The Starke 1 and 2 models both come with a USB ports as standard. Energy is generated by the bike’s front-mounted dynamo hub, which as well as smartphones can be used to charge GPS units, MP3 players and a lot of others gadgets.

Do you think this an idea that will catch on?
