microsoft visual studio 2010

Visual Studio is an integrated development environment from Microsoft, used to develop console and graphical user interface applications along with web sites, Windows Forms applications, web applications, and  web services in native code together with managed code for all platforms supported by Microsoft Windows, Windows Mobile, Windows CE, Microsoft Silverlight, .NET Framework and .NET Compact Framework.

Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 has new and enhanced features that make the development process much easier from design to deployment. Users can now create rich applications for SharePoint and the web, and target multiple versions of the .NET Framework with the same tool, which makes it much faster. Users will be happy to know the dreaded “no repro” problem can be eliminated with IntelliTrace. The newest version also adds multiple monitor support allowing users to create a workspace that best works for them.

Visual Studio now incorporates Agile practices, users can now efficiently streamline the collaboration process and lower wasted efforts in all phases of the lifecycle to improve visibility and interactivity across the team, from development to operations.  The application development team at Swedish insurance company Länsförsäkringar AB is expected to cut software development time and costs by 20 percent thanks to the adoption of Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 along with iterative development techniques with agile planning tools and a virtual test laboratory with automated builds and deployment. The company is also expected to deliver better applications and improve customer service.
