Modder creates awesome portable Gamecube with no disc drive
Modder Jonathan Shine has created what he calls ‘The Envision’, an awesome portable Gamecube. Jonathan says the device took 102 hours and 25 minutes to build over 7 months and he broke 13 motherboards before getting it to work. It’s also the second portable gamecube to feature a component cable inside, allowing for “beautiful progressive scan mode”. What really makes this thing special though is that it requires no discs at all as it uses Wiikey Fusion running games from an SD card. The device has 4 3.7v 2600mAh batteries and has around 2 hours of battery.

I’d love to get my hands on this but I’m willing to bet a pretty fierce bidding war will emerge.
