RIM is offering a free BlackBerry Playbook to Android developers today to attempt to gain interest in its App World. RIM VP of developer relations Alec Saunders posted to Twitter telling developers to submit their apps by February 13th in order to qualify for a free PlayBook.

This is clearly a push from RIM to try and get more developers over to the platform but it also feels desperate that they have to resort to these tactics. I can’t really see it making much of an impact at all, the PlayBook has been a sinking ship for a while already.
