Amazon has revealed a larger version of its Kindle Fire tablet, the Kindle Fire HD. The device features a 8.9-inch, 1920 x 1200 resolution, 254pp display which features a laminated touch sensor that Amazon says gives better visuals and 25% less screen glare. The Kindle Fire HD is powered by an OMAP 4470 processor, which according to Amazon outperforms the Tegra 3. Amazon has also improved the Wi-fi in the device by using two antennas, a dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz receiver, and new MINO radio technology.
