Snapchat hack: How to check if your phone number was leaked

By Stephen Robinson @xstex · On 1 January, 2014

Super popular photo messaging app Snapchat has been hacked resulting in 4.6 million accounts information being available to download online which includes phone numbers and the associated username. The site SnapchatDB says that the information was gained through a recently identified exploit and that they are making the data available in an effort to convince the messaging app to improve security.

So you may be wondering if your information was taken and published online, well just head over to http://lookup.gibsonsec.org/lookup, enter your username and it will let you know. Unfortunately Snapchat is yet to make any comment on the situation but we’ll update when or if they do.
