A new Apple TV could have a “TV tuner component” according to 9to5Mac. It will have the ability to control your exist cable boxes much like how the Xbox One with a user interface atop of the content. Other features such as a built-in router and backup hard drive are apparently “in testing.” This comes after last week’s rumours that claimed the new Apple TV would come with an app store for games.
It’s also interesting to note that Apple TV now has its own section of Apple’s site for the first time, so Apple is clearly planning a bigger future for the device.
