According to a report by Reuters Samsung has approached BlackBerry with a takeover bid. The report says that Samsung wants the deal to take over BlackBerry’s parent portfolio, and that they offered as much as $7.5 billion according to a person familiar with the matter and documents seen by Reuters.
As of this post it is unknown if BlackBerry is interested in the offer.
