Twitter may replace ‘retweet’ with ‘share’

Twitter seems to be experimenting a lot recently, likely trying to figure out exactly what it wants to be. The latest test that’s been spotted is the replacement of the ‘retweet’ option for a ‘share’ option. While such a change may annoy current users, it’s likely a move to make it easier for new Twitter users to understand what the feature actually does.

While this isn’t a guaranteed change, some Twitter users are reporting seeing the ‘share’ button within the Android and iOS apps. Some are also reporting a different profile page within the mobile apps.
