GSMARENA has heard from a tipster that Samsung is working on a point-and-shot camera based on the Galaxy S III. The device, said to be called the Samsung Galaxy S camera, is said to feature a 4.8″ SuperAMOLED display and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The tipster describes the camera as looking like a Galaxy S III glued to the back of a point-and-shoot camera, with no physical buttons on the back. It is said to be 1.5 to 2 times thinker than the S III, but will have a 10x optical zoom. It will apparently have a 16MP sensor, and a Xenon flash.
If true I’m hoping this thing has a mobile connection, this would make it perfect for uploading photos on the go with a better camera that my smartphone and better on-the-go editing.
Samsung is said to be introducing the Galaxy S camera at IFA.
